FUNdraising Week Recap

Thank you all for the support of our first ever FUNdraising Week! We raised over $26,000 for West Sylvan students and staff and had a lot of fun in the process. We are excited for the Pack Parties, to provide every student a yearbook and support needed classroom supplies.

A special shoutout to a few students who hustled for West Sylvan - 8th Grader Skyler Christenson brought in a whopping 20 individual donations and 7th Grader Lila Anderson was right behind with 18. Leo Maciukenas, Harper Tofte and Callie Kang also deserve a shoutout for their amazing efforts! Overall we had an awesome response from our Wolfpack who weren't shy about sharing their love of WSMS with family and friends.

Thank you to our staff members who participated in Penny Wars. Mr. Arce, our beloved Band teacher, was the big winner and entertained the students with his challenge during the October Assembly.

VOLUNTEER & SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIES

First Friday Lunch - December 6th

The next First Friday Staff lunch is December 6th. Help show our staff how much they are appreciated by donating to the meal. You can sign up to bring a dish here or donate to the effort.

All food contributions should be delivered to the main office by 9:15 on Friday, December 6^th. Items can be homemade or store-bought.

Men's Bike Needed

The Counseling office is in search of a men's bike. If you have one you are willing to donate for student use, please contact us at hi@friendsofwestsylvan.org.

Need to buy a cool birthday gift? Want to do some early holiday present shopping? Take advantage of this great opportunity to support a fun, local NW business while giving back to our school at the same time! Spirit Wear

West Sylvan Spirit Wear will be available for order after the November break. Sweatshirts will be $20 and t-shirts will be $10. Watch your email for more information!

PARENT EDUCATION

Coffee Talks - Coming Soon!

Coming soon - Coffee Talks at West Sylvan! This will be a series of parent education sessions where West Sylvan Administration will bring in various experts to cover topics like social media abuse and tween/teen mental health. All parents of West Sylvan students and parents of our feeder elementary schools will be invited to attend.

FoWS WOLFPACK SHOUT OUT

A big FoWS Wolfpack thank you to 8th grade parent, Staci Kristin for stomping the pavement and getting so many amazing prizes for our week of FUNdraising!

Another big FoWS Wolfpack thank you to 8th grade parent, Pat Greene for another year of arranging family food baskets for the November break. Pat has done this for many years and we want her to know how much we appreciate her and will miss her next year!
